I once asked my roommate, when you hear the word "petite", what comes to mind?

She  answered, Carrie Bradshaw! Yes, Sarah Jessica Parker, at 5'2" is considered one the  most fashionable actresses of her time. And she is a petite size zero, I think. She of  course will always be known as her alter ego in Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshow and  get this, she's also a clothing designer for Halston!

A decade ago, when online shopping was still something only a few could do, my mom  would go to the department store and be shuffled to and fro, because she was petite and  all the clothes in the plus size section were too long and big for her.

They literally,  swallowed her, with all that material! Worse, she was advised to shop in the teen  section, but dresses there were way too tight. Because of her full figure, shopping  became a grueling task for her.
